Back in 2016 I thought I had enough information to create a strong

If you read my origin story in my book, you’d know that in late 2017, I learned the truth about my asthma, arthritis and up and down energy and mood. As I learned the truth, it was obvious as to why my V8 hormones tapped out; I was metabolically sick on the inside. I finally understood that the years of joint pain, asthma, hypertension, and anxiety were largely avoidable.

I appeared to walk around in “good health”, however, I was not in good health, I was metabolically sick, and I had no clue. I wasted tens of thousands of dollars on painful shoulder surgery; my health insurance was much higher that it should have been because of hypertension; I was a weak man performing WAY below his potential. And like you might be, I was blaming myself, my genetics, and my age for my lack of energy and confidence.

Thankfully in October 2017, I learned that the three roadblocks were physically stopping my body from making high optimal V8 hormones. At the time I knew about one of them, not the other two.

My energy and motivation were difficult to muster up because the roadblocks physically slowed my V8 hormones to a crawl. I did not feel like a man back then, I felt like a weak ass loser putting on a brave face.

Second, you will mimic their feelings THUS hormones, and boom, you start making stress hormones too. You need to guard yourself against this because unfortunately, a lot of people are stressed-based.

The Mesocortical dopamine pathway codes for delaying gratification and doing the right thing in a hard moment, even if it terrifies you. This is where you want the dopamine being sent, clearly 👍 👍🏿

🔖FACTOID: Did you know that Inflammation presents in two basic ways?

Dave Asprey in his book, “Head Strong,” he mentioned that Dr Frank Shallenberger estimates we have 50-100% more toxins and stress precursors invading our body causing than we did even 100-years ago. This is hidden stress, and they ALL cause inflammation and raise stress hormones. When the brain is inflamed, it goes offline, and you go on autopilot. Brain fog, cravings and impulsivity become the norm.

A few years ago, I learned the most important lesson I have ever learned. I stumbled across research from Professor Sapolsky at Stanford, and the penny dropped and profoundly changed the course of my life.

It was about stress physiology, stress hormones and stress behaviour.

Sapolsky said that if you have higher than healthy levels of stress hormones or inflammation, it engages stress-based thought, and then stress-based behaviour.

There are three big problems with that.

First, Sapolsky said that stress hormones foster negative emotion like self-doubt, guilt, anxiety, hostility and burnout.

Second, the brains metabolism shifts from the human brain (HB) to the emotional brain. The result, we become impulsive and distracted. Think about that; the human brain is offline; look at what it helps you with: focus, discipline, higher thinking, objective thinking, planning, problem-solving—BIG picture thinking are some of its skills.

Third, it also switches off our virtues like empathy, compassion caring because we’re in I don’t give a fuck mood.

Inflammation switches off success and good karma because the HB is off.

Bottom line: At the end of the day, you’ve got two buckets that will set you up for success or failure. You’ve got a bucket full of stress hormones, you’re somewhere in between, or you’re feeling great because you are making Olympian levels of performance hormones.
