Is Low Testosterone a Good Thing?

Back when I had super low testosterone, severe anxiety, and shit motivation, I thought maybe it was low Testosterone.

My doctor said that wasn’t the problem… I was kind of pissed because I thought it was. He wanted to put me on anxiety meds. And he did, the drug was mirtazapine, 30 mg. It further crushed my energy, not to mention super fast weight gain. I was on that testosterone crushing med for over 4-years. The anxiety was better, well at least I think, but I felt dull and weak. Not a good trade-off.

I later learned that anxiety meds lower testosterone. This wasn’t until I met my friend and mentor Dr Jay.

But why do doctors say it is fine to have low T? I will reveal why in a few paragraphs.

Here’s the problem, if you say to your doctor: Hey Doc, how do I boost my testosterone?

He/she will look at you with a blank stare because…

… gov guidelines say: it’s fine to have low testosterone.

Big pharma wants you to take their meds, and the doctors are only following the guidelines. But the pharma drugs made me fat and tired. I felt old and frumpy.

My creed now is: Question everything. Especially if you are feeling the effects of low testosterone.

Estrogen dominance is NOT your fault, and you CAN fix it as I have.

An important question is this: is low Testosterone really “fine”?

I don’t believe low testosterone is fine, not for a fucking second.

I am 50 and I’ve never felt better. You can get your testosterone back if you haven’t developed too many health issues. Do not put this off, optimal testosterone is critical for men.

There are doctors who know the truth about low testosterone.

Like my friend, Dr Amy B Killen, MD. I had a chat with Dr Killen.

Here is what Dr Amy said to me: “Low testosterone isn’t something we should brush off as no big deal. It’s kind of a BIG deal.”

Dr Killen went on to say: “We know that men who have lower testosterone levels tend to have higher mortality rates in general. So, all-cause mortality is higher in men with lower levels of testosterone levels.

Here is what Dr Amy said to me: “Low testosterone isn’t something we should brush off as no big deal. It’s kind of a BIG deal.”

Dr Killen went on to say: “We know that men who have lower testosterone levels tend to have higher mortality rates in general. So all-cause mortality is higher in men with the lowest core tile of testosterone levels.

So, we’re going to see increases in things like cardiovascular disease. So heart attacks and strokes are going to go up.”

She continued… “Generally, if you have low Testosterone, increased diabetes, increased obesity, increased problems with mood disorders, depression, insomnia, anxiety, all that goes up. And then undoubtedly, sexual dysfunction.”

I thought, WTF… so why do doctors brush it off?

It’s not like these hard-working doctors don’t care, they most certainly do.

The real problem is the government’s guidelines. That is the problem.

Another Dr that cares about enhancing men’s T, is my friend Dr Ken Berry, MD.

Dr Berry said to me: “There’s a subset of the population who believe that the government understands everything you and I just said about testosterone. And they like it for men to have a very low testosterone level. Because when your T’s low, you tend to just roll over and take it.

Dr Berry continued… “Can you imagine trying to govern a population that had optimised testosterone levels, and you were trying to force them to do something they didn’t want to do—or force them to do something just wrong—that would not go well for you if you were the government.”

Everything that has happened in the last 2-years, you might see how the Gov trying to control us.

Are you okay with that?

My friend Dr Jay said the same thing…

… You either want to fix this and get your edge back, or you just don’t understand how critical optimal testosterone is for men.

After Dr Jay crawled over mountains of data and studies doing his 5-year PhD on sex hormones, he said:

  • When men bring testosterone up, it changes everything
  • More money in your career
  • More creativity and energy
  • You just feel better
  • Nothing beats that feeling of having lots of energy throughout the day

And Dr Jay said: testosterone is a fundamental part of that.
